Zusatzinformationen
Four months after the meeting of the International Syria Support Group in Munich in February, we can see that our engagement for humanitarian access in Syria has been worthwhile. For the people in Syria, the arrival of the aid convoys is a tangible sign of hope. The international community has not forgotten the people in Syria and has not left them in the lurch.
At the same time it is clear that we are still a long way from providing adequate humanitarian supplies. The convoys authorised so far supply only half of what is actually needed. It is now more crucial than ever that we keep up the pressure in order to also improve conditions so that the peace talks in Geneva can continue.
