OSCE Conference on Tolerance and Diversity at the Federal Foreign Office
An international Conference on Tolerance and Diversity will be held on Thursday (20 October) at the Federal Foreign Office under the auspices of the German Chairmanship of the OSCE. The conference will be opened by Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and General Music Director Daniel Barenboim. Michael Link, ODIHR Director, Lotte Leicht, EU Director of Human Rights Watch, and Anastasia Crickley, Chairperson of the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, will take part in the panel discussion after the opening.
Over 300 people from Germany and abroad are expected to attend the conference, which will underline the importance of openness and adaptability for modern democratic societies. Germany has made tackling discrimination and promoting tolerance a priority of its OSCE Chairmanship.
