Foreign Minister Steinmeier on the proclamation of King Rama X of Thailand

Foreign Minister Steinmeier issued the following statement on the proclamation of King Rama X of Thailand today (1 December):

For over 150 years, Germany and Thailand have enjoyed close and friendly relations.

I hope that under King Rama X the friendship between our countries will be even further intensified and German-Thai cooperation further expanded.

I wish the new King much energy and success in his endeavours for the benefit of the Thai people.
